The EU Delegation and EURAXESS India are organising a hybrid event in New Delhi, on 27 August, 3.00-5.00 pm IST/11.30-13.30 CET, to mark the successful co-funding mechanism (CFM) agreement for the upcoming MSCA Staff Exchanges call (formerly known as RISE) between the MSCA and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research India (CSIR). António Pascoal and Pramod Maurya are the guest speakers who will give a talk about the collaboration under the ECOBOTICS.SEA project.
Master One Health
Ecobotics.Sea was present at the Master “One Health” of the Sapienza Università di Roma, with the lecture “Robotics and Emergent Biohybrid Technologies for Sustainable Investigation and Management of Biodiversity (June 19, 2024). The lecturer was Donato Romano, a member of our partner in Italy, SSSA- Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
Seminar in Italy by ECOBOTICS.SEA
During the month-long visit to Hubilife’s Italy partner, Asko Ristolainen, from Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia took the opportunity to give a small seminar at the BioRobotics Institute of SSSA.
It took place on June 14, 2024 and was titled “Bioinspired Innovations for Extreme Environmental Exploration and Sensing”.

Recently, Dr. Donato Romano, Prof. Cesare Stefanini and Gianluca Manduca from our consortium member SSSA, more specifically, its BioRobotics Institute, published the paper “A Bioinspired Control Strategy Ensures Maneuverability and Adaptability for Dynamic Environments in an Underactuated Robotic Fish”. Donato Romano, from our partner in Italy, HUBILIFE, was an Invited Speaker at RoboSoft 2024 Workshop “Into the Wood: Soft Machines for Ecosystem Exploration” with the talk “The emergent Field of Animal(Organism)-Robot Interaction: Toward a Symbiotic Future at the Intersection of Biology and Robotics” The Workshop took place in San Diego, Califórnia, USA, from 14 to 17 of April, 2024.

ECOBOTICS.SEA at UNIGRAZ, Austria
The ECOBOTICS.SEA project was represented by Donato Romano (partner from SSSA, Italy) as co-organizer of the workshop “Biohybrids Through Organism-Technology Interactions” at UNIGRAZ (18th—19th February 2024). In addition, he was the Keynote Lecturer at the Winter School On Modelling And Measuring Biohybrid Multi-Level Complex Systems (20th—23th February 2024), with the talk “From life-like to living technologies – the new frontiers of bionics science and technology”.
